About Silvina Luna
Silvina Noelia Luna was an Argentine model, actress and vedette who first gained fame for being on Big Brother 2 in her home country. She had been suffering from health issues for years after getting cosmetic surgery to enlarge her b u t t o c k s in 2011. She blamed her cosmetic surgeon Anibal Lotock for causing her health problems by using methacrylate for the surgery. By 2015, she was on dialysis and she died in 2023 while awaiting a kidney transplant. She died August 31st 2023 aged 43 after a series of complications following her surgery that the media followed every step of the way. She had been operated on her thighs and glutes, and went from inflammation to hypercalcaemia and kidney failure.

The surgeon was sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud and causing serious injuries to Pamela Sosa, Gabriela Trenchi, Stefania Xipolitakis, and Silvina Luna (RIP). He was also barred from practicing medicine for ten years. Additionally, he is accused of the homicide of a male patient who died from complications following surgery in 2021.
