About Sigrid Gurie
Sigird Gurie was born in Brooklyn with her twin brother and hold dual citizenships to the USA and Norway. She did grew up in Oslo and was educated in Norway, Belgium, and Sweden.
She was billed as the "Siren of the fjords". The press discovered she was born in Flatbush the film magnate who discovered her called it the biggest hoax of the century.
In the late 1940s she studied at the Kann Art Institute in West Hollywood were she studied oils and portraitures. Her works includes landscapes, portraits, Ink and pen sketches.
From 1961 to 1969 she lives in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico were she also designed Jewelry.
She died in Mexico in August of 1969 she was married three times
