About Shane (Pornstar)

Shane is a California-based former pornographic actress, director, producer and writer. She created the Shane's World series of adult videos, which used a gonzo style that took performers on trips to real locations and filmed unscripted action.
She entered the industry in 1993, at around age 24, after sending a homemade masturbation video to director Adam Glasser, also known as Seymore Butts. She became one of his performers and was his romantic partner at the time.
In 1996, she founded Shane's World Studios and launched the Shane's World series. The videos used a documentary-style approach. They took groups of performers on vacations, road trips or trips to other locations and filmed what happened, including sex, parties and behind-the-scenes activity.
She performed in roughly 80–90 scenes and directed over 40 titles between 1993 and 2007. She is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame as a performer and director. She briefly came out of retirement in 2007 to shoot Shane and Friends and has been mostly retired since then. After leaving the industry, she stepped away from public adult content and focused on family life. She is married and has two adult children.
