Born in Assam to a Sikh family with roots in Jammu and Kashmir, Dua attended Army Public School, Noida, before earning a law degree from Panjab University. She briefly practiced law at the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, citing her desire to advocate for women’s rights and awareness of legal protections.

Pageantry and modeling career
Dua’s modeling journey began in 2015, leading to her recognition as Femina Style Diva North 2016. Her success at Femina Miss India 2017 brought her national attention and a place among the top ten finalists at Miss United Continents in Ecuador. Her accomplishments helped spotlight Jammu and Kashmir in India’s beauty pageant landscape.
