About Sally Todd
Todd's entertainment career began when her mother encouraged her to enter a local Tucson beauty contest in 1952. She studied drama in her native Tucson as well. Todd then moved to California in 1954 and got a job modeling clothes.
Sally was the Playmate of the Month in the February 1957 issue of Playboy. Among the other men's magazines she posed for were Focus, Brief, Bachelor, and Sir Knight. Todd was eventually spotted by a 20th Century Fox talent scout. She acted in a handful of enjoyable low-budget drive-in movies that include The Unearthly and Frankenstein's Daughter.
Sally married singer Charles Cochran in 1961. They divorced a short while later. On June 8, 1963 Todd wed John W. James in Las Vegas, Nevada. This marriage also ended in divorce. Sally eventually settled in Big Sur, California and ran an antique shop.
She passed away in November 2022.
