Janssen was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She attended Heritage High School located in Littleton, Colorado.
Jannssen started her pageant journey in 2014 when she entered the Miss Colorado USA and Miss Colorado Teen USA pageant in the Miss division. She went unplaced in the competition but won a Non-finalist Interview Award.
Jannssen returned to the Miss Colorado USA stage in 2015 when she entered the Miss Colorado USA and Miss Colorado USA pageant in the Miss division. After not placing the year before, Jannssen placed as fourth runner-up.
In 2016, Jannssen returned to the Miss Colorado USA and Miss Colorado Teen USA stage in the Miss division. She once again placed as fourth runner-up.
Jannssen returned for her fourth time to the Miss Colorado USA and Miss Colorado Teen USA stage in 2017. This time, she was crowned Miss Colorado USA 2017 on October 23, 2016 at the Union Colony Civic Center located in Greenly, Colorado. She then represented Colorado at the 2017 Miss USA pageant where she went unplaced in the competition.
As of January 2024, she has amassed 121,000 followers on Instagram & 407,400 followers on her TikTok platform.
