About Riya Barde

Riya Barde, also known by the stage name Arohi Barde and her birth name Banna Sheikh, is a Bangladeshi porn star.

Barde was born in Bangladesh to her mother, Ruby Sheikh (later known as Anjali Barde).

Operating under her stage name Arohi Barde, she worked in Mumbai's entertainment industry as a fashion model and adult film actress. Between 2020 and 2023, she appeared in several provocative web series and digital adult television productions, including Adhuri Suhag Raat (2020), Mere Angane Main (2021), Barkha Bhabhi (2022), and Aamras (2023).

On September 26, 2024, the Hill Line Police in Ulhasnagar, Thane district, arrested Barde after establishing her Bangladeshi nationality. She was charged under multiple provisions of the Indian Penal Code, including sections for cheating, forgery, and common intention as well as Section 14A of the Foreigners Act of 1946. Her real identity was exposed following a personal and legal dispute with a fellow actor whom she had lived with during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. The associate grew suspicious of her heritage when she requested significant monetary funds to illegally traffic her extended family members from Bangladesh into India. Following a series of retaliatory cross-complaints, including a false rape allegation that initially led to the associate's temporary imprisonment, the actor utilized Right to Information (RTI) queries to track down formal proof of her fraudulent documents and presented the findings to the Thane Crime Branch. At the time of her apprehension, authorities also booked her mother, step-father, and two siblings (Riyaz and Moni Sheikh), who were flagged as absconding.
