Rebeca Landa is a Mexican sports journalist and play-by-play commentator who has made history as one of the most prominent female voices in NFL broadcasting on Spanish-language television in the United States. She currently works for ESPN Deportes, where she serves as the lead commentator for Monday Night Football broadcasts.
Since joining ESPN in 2017, Landa has become one of the most recognizable voices in ESPN Deportes' NFL coverage. Her roles have included:

In 2022, Landa made history by becoming the first woman to call a nationally televised NFL game on Spanish-language television in the U.S. This groundbreaking moment came during a Monday Night Football matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.
In 2023, she was named the lead play-by-play commentator for ESPN Deportes' Monday Night Football telecasts, working alongside color commentator Sergio Dipp, sideline reporter Katia Castorena and veteran broadcaster John Sutcliffe.
Beyond football, Landa also covers tennis for ESPN, including the four Grand Slam tournaments each year and major Mexican tournaments such as the Acapulco, Los Cabos and Guadalajara opens. She has also covered WTA finals, one of the most important tournaments in women's tennis.
Landa's passion for football extends beyond the commentator's booth. She is a defensive player for the Mexican Women's National Flag Football team and won the gold medal at The World Games 2022, making her a world champion athlete in addition to her broadcasting career.
Landa is a graduate of the University of the Americas Puebla (UDLAP) in Mexico, where she studied Visual Arts. During college, she worked at the campus television station and became the first woman to analyze American football on Mexican television. After graduating, she worked with NFL teams including the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos before joining ESPN.
She currently resides in Mexico City and has been recognized for breaking barriers for women in sports broadcasting, particularly in the male-dominated field of NFL commentary. Her journey to ESPN included attending five castings over two years before being offered a contract, demonstrating her persistence and dedication to her craft.
