About Pat Williams

Pat Williams (1931–1955) was an American actress known for her role in Grounds for Marriage (1951).

Born Patricia Williams in Boise, Idaho, the daughter of Clyde N. Williams, a railroad telegrapher, and his wife Sammy M. She had siblings, including a brother named Neldon and sisters Joann and Donna During her school years, she gained recognition for her beauty, being voted the best-looking girl in a school contest and considered "most likely to succeed" by her peers .

Williams moved to Hollywood with her sister Donna, who studied voice, and began auditioning for shows such as "Ken Murray's Blackouts". She quickly gained attention, even being selected over Marilyn Monroe for certain opportunities in the show

During her time in "Blackouts", she became Marie Wilson's understudy and later replaced Wilson for the New York run.

Her performances caught the eye of notable figures, including billionaire Howard Hughes

She signed a seven-year contract with MGM, later working with Columbia, and was known for her striking appearance and stage presence. Despite her promising career, she had limited screen appearances before her untimely death at age 24 in 1955 of a barbituate overdose.
