Name -

The pseudonym "Natsumiii" comes from the Japanese words natsu (summer) and mi (beauty).

Background -

Wendy Luo was born in Toronto, Canada to parents from Guangzhou, Mainland China. She can speak Cantonese fluently, but cannot read/write Chinese even minimally.

Wendy is also fluent in Korean. She learned how to read/write Korean when she was 16 and has sung many South Korean songs, watched a lot of South Korean movies/dramas, and has many Korean friends. She also did a 2-month language exchange.

Wendy earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Toronto. She plays piano and can also play recorder.

In 2011, Wendy participated in Songs of The Summoned 2[1] contest for League of Legends. Her song "You Mad Bro?" was one of the winners. This gave her YouTube channel Sweetiebutt its initial traction. Wendy decided to become a YouTube Creator, at first concentrating on League parody songs.

LilyPichu was also involved in making League parody songs. Wendy and Lily became friends. In December 2012, Lily wanted to visit Toronto and to meet up with Wendy. They hung out at a local mall and vlogged their first meeting.[2]

Wendy started streaming on April 23, 2013. She chose LoLNatsumiii as her Twitch name based on her League handle and not YouTube. Initially, Wendy streamed almost exclusively League of Legends.

Trivia -

Wendy sometimes streams with a VTuber model. Her VTuber avatar is an anime version of her with purple hair and glasses.
Wendy says her distinct "huh?" whenever she encounters awkward or sussy situations.
Due to her fluency in Korean, her heavy interest in South Korean culture, and former husband being Korean-American, she is often mistaken as a Korean.
