About Nao Kosaka
Nao Kosaka was born on September 7, 2002, in Osaka, Japan, and grew up with her parents and an older brother, a fan of Keyakizaka46, which inspired her to audition for the group. Of Japanese descent, her early interest in performance was sparked by watching Hiragana Keyakizaka46’s 2017 Zepp Namba show. Known as Nao Kosaka, with nicknames like Kosakana, Koshakana, and Kosha, she joined Hiragana Keyakizaka46’s second generation on August 13, 2017, debuting with “No War in the Future,” a B-side to Keyakizaka46’s “Kaze ni Fukarete mo.” After the group rebranded to Hinatazaka46 in February 2019, Nao became the center for their debut single “Kyun” and held this role for the first four singles and “Boku Nanka” (2022), making her the member with the most center roles in the group’s history.
