Momo Aida is a legendary AV actress who swept through the 1990s adult entertainment scene like a comet.

Her rise to fame began in 1989 when, performing under the stage name "Akiyo Maruyama," she was named the 4th Playmate Japan for the Japanese edition of PLAYBOY. Her statuesque, model-like figure and drop-dead gorgeous E-cup bust earned international acclaim, quickly launching her into the spotlight and landing her a spot as a calendar girl for Kyodo Oil.

In 1990, she made her adult film debut in A Kiss on a Passionate Heart... Transitioning from a mainstream gravure model to an AV actress was virtually unprecedented at the time. Her impressive background and stunning looks instantly catapulted her to stardom.

Yet, at the absolute peak of her popularity in late 1990, she suddenly vanished from the public eye. The following year, she announced both her marriage to her former co-star, AV actor Joji Osaki (who would later become mainstream actor Noboru Takachi), and her retirement from the industry. Though her initial career spanned less than a year, her captivating presence left an indelible mark. Pop icon Takuya Kimura of SMAP even confessed on television that he was a devoted fan, admitting he was deeply crushed by her sudden departure.

Following her divorce after five years of marriage, Momo Aida made a highly anticipated comeback to the AV world in 1996 with a trilogy of releases, including Vintage. Showing no signs of a hiatus, her timeless beauty combined with a newfound, refined maturity thoroughly delighted her fanbase. In 1997, she expanded her career to the stage as a feature dancer at the historic Asakusa Rock-za theater, while also appearing on television and in direct-to-video films (V-cinema). She eventually stepped away from the entertainment industry for good after remarrying.

Her defining works include her iconic debut, ECSTASYCOP, Juicy Between the Thighs: Momo Aida, and her final farewell film, Don't Say Goodbye. To this day, her captivating screen presence and exceptional beauty remain the stuff of industry legend.
