About Missy (Pornstar)
Missy, born Maria Christina Wheatley on September 24, 1967, in Burbank, California, grew up in Simi Valley, California, in a large family with five brothers and five sisters. Little is documented about her early education or childhood, but she lost her virginity at 17 and worked in the administration department of a local hospital before entering the adult entertainment industry. Her entry into adult films was sparked by meeting her future husband, Mickey G., at the hospital, where they began performing together in amateur porn videos which got the notice of bigger studios.
She debuted in the adult film industry in 1994 at age 27, adopting the stage name Missy. Known for her blonde hair, blue eyes, and slender 5’4”, 114-pound figure with 36B-24-36 measurements, she appeared in over 260 films. She worked with studios like Wicked Pictures, where she was briefly a contract performer, as well as Vivid Entertainment and Evil Angel. Notable films include Heart & Soul (1997), Eros (1998), and The Psychosexuals (1997). Her performances were known for their intensity, often involving multiple male partners and aggressive scenes, which became her signature in the gonzo genre.
Missy collaborated with performers like Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, and her husband Mickey G., with whom she frequently performed. Her standout scenes include high-energy group sequences in The Psychosexuals, praised for her fearless approach, and her work in Heart & Soul, noted for its emotional and erotic depth. Web sources like IAFD and fan comments on X highlight her popularity in the gonzo niche, with her “wild and uninhibited” style earning her a dedicated following.
Missy's most cited feature was her light blue eyes, which were called "sparkling" and "mesmerizing". Often hailed as an "all-American girl" of the adult film world in the late 1990s and early 2000s, she captivated fans and critics alike with her strikingly wholesome beauty. With her radiant blue eyes, fresh-faced innocence, and soft features, she stood out in an industry often defined by glamor and excess. Many described her as the epitome of natural allure—effortlessly sexy without trying too hard.
Controversies were limited, but her intense scenes raised concerns about performer safety in the gonzo genre, though she faced no personal scandals. Her decision to retire was influenced by a mental breakdown and her turn to religion, which drew some industry discussion but was respected by peers. Missy was married to adult actor Mickey G., whom she met before her career began, and they performed together in numerous films. Their marriage lasted through her career and life.
She retired from the adult industry in 2001, citing personal struggles and an interest in Christianity. Unlike some peers, she did not pursue mainstream acting or production roles. Her mainstream ventures were nonexistent, and she focused on rebuilding her life outside the spotlight.
Tragically, Missy died on August 16, 2008, at age 40 in Valencia, California, from an accidental overdose of the antidepressant amitriptyline. She is buried at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Palmdale, California.
As of June 29, 2025, Missy’s legacy endures through her influential work in the 1990s adult industry. Fan-run X accounts and vintage porn communities continue to celebrate her, with comments praising her striking blue eyes and ranking her as one of the top stars of the 1990s. Her films remain popular among enthusiasts, and her awards and hall of fame inductions cement her impact during the industry’s golden era.
