About Miranda Martino
Miranda lived through the devastating bombings of World War II in Padua. At the age of seven, she and her family moved to Rome. There, her career began, thanks to her older sister Adriana, a chorister for the RAI and later a renowned opera singer. Miranda made her debut in 1955 at the "Voci Nuove" competition, held by RAI to select participants for the 1956 Sanremo Music Festival. She reached the final selection, which included twelve artists, but failed to make the cut among the six performers chosen for the Festival. She did, however, secure a recording contract and began appearing on various radio and television programs.
She posed nude for the Italian editions of Playboy and Playmen.
