About Melody Prochet
Melody's Echo Chamber is the pseudonym of French musician Melody Prochet, who explores a broad range of styles of psychedelic music including Krautrock, Shoegaze and occasionally Prog. Her self-titled debut album was produced in collaboration with her then-boyfriend, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala. The album drew critical acclaim and reached number 61 on the U.S. Billboard Heatseekers chart.
Following her break up with Parker and various serious health issues, Prochet recorded Bon Voyage, the second Melody's Echo Chamber album, with the Swedish psych-rock band Dungen. Critical response was positive, with critics proclaiming Bon Voyage, which explored more vintage 1960s-styles of psychedelia with touches of Prog, to be even stranger than the debut, but just as impressive and magical.
The following album, Emotional Eternal, was greeted as being more optimistic and upbeat than Bon Voyage, which had been recorded after a period of personal and physical turmoil for Prochet.
