In 2025, the Belgian model and OnlyFans star faced serious legal repercussions for tax evasion after brazenly admitting to the crime in a YouTube video, where she complained that declaring her full income would mean "half of it is gone" due to the "unfair" tax system and revealed plans to relocate to tax-free Dubai.
Authorities investigated her after the video surfaced, uncovering that she had earned approximately €100,000 (£88,377) from OnlyFans and two other platforms in 2021 and 2022 but failed to declare any of it, even filing for bankruptcy in February 2022 to dodge repayment.
At her trial in the Bruges court on November 12, 2025, prosecutors argued that she had deliberately refused to contribute to society, while her lawyer claimed she was young, administratively naive, and had no intent to defraud—calling her YouTube remarks "unfortunate, but human."
The judge rejected the defense, ruling that Desaever knew exactly what she was doing, and sentenced her to a 10-month suspended prison term, a €25,000 fine, and an order to repay €68,000 in back taxes.
This came on top of a separate 10-month suspended sentence she received in April 2024 for social fraud involving the receipt of undue COVID-19 support payments.
