Mara Sedini Viancos is an actress, journalist, singer, television personality, and political activist who served as Minister Secretary General of Government in her country under the administration of President José Antonio Kast, between March 11 and May 19, 2026—making her one of the government spokespersons with the shortest tenure in the position.

Prior to her time as a government minister, she worked as a commentator on current political affairs, writing columns on related topics. She also served as Director of Public Affairs at the Foundation for Progress (FPP) and was a regular panelist on Sin Filtros—a program featuring both entertainment and political discussion—which she later went on to host following her tenure as a government spokesperson.

In the artistic sphere, she has performed musical pieces at events such as the 50th Festival del Huaso de Olmué (2019). With a long-standing background in this field, Sedini received professional training under the guidance of singer-songwriter Myriam Hernández for whom she also sang backing vocals.
