About Mara Duron

Mara Durón Capetillo (born March 10, 1988, in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico) is a Mexican journalist and news presenter. She holds a degree in Communication Sciences and Techniques from the Universidad de Xalapa and a master's degree in Business Administration from Unitec.
Durón began her journalism career at Radio Televisión de Veracruz and later became part of Hechos Veracruz on TV Azteca. She subsequently moved to Mexico City, where her first project was México en Alerta for a+, and later joined ADN40, which she describes as a much larger channel where her goal was to reach a national-level news program.
Currently, she co-hosts Ciudad Desnuda alongside Yunue Cuevas on ADN40, airing Monday through Friday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The show is an Info-Entertainment format where the hosts present the day's news in an engaging manner, reporting on crimes and showing videos of unprecedented events in Mexico and around the world. In this project, Mara Durón narrates the most relevant events of recent hours.
Durón defines journalism as the commitment to seek the truth and enable viewers to form opinions based on information. She has established herself as one of the most charismatic and approachable hosts in social-denunciation television journalism.
In her personal life, her favorite hobbies are exercising and walking her dog. She enjoys Korean series such as The King: Eternal Monarch, though her favorite film genre is science fiction. Her favorite food is pizza, and she loves chilaquiles for breakfast—a meal she could eat every day—though she admits she does not like cooking at all. She maintains a social media presence with over 147,000 followers on Instagram under the handle @maraduron10.
