About Macaila Wagner
Macaila Wagner (sometimes known online as @makilllla) is a Canadian environmental educator, wildlife communicator, and digital creator based in British Columbia. Her work focuses on conservation, wildlife, sustainable travel, and science communication. She creates educational content on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph and has worked in environmental field research and education. Her experience includes work in aquatic and terrestrial ecology, habitat assessments, environmental monitoring, and wildlife research in Canada.
In 2025–2026, she announced that she had been selected as one of the inaugural creators for a National Geographic initiative, where she contributes environmental storytelling.
