About Luxiboo

Lux was born in the sunny Southern California city of Pasadena, to parents of Filipino and Irish descent. From a young age, her father Michael encouraged Lux’s involvement in the arts, mainly singing, which he would have her practice by recording her and her younger sister on a cassette tape and play back for her mother in living room “concerts”.

Tragically, Michael passed away when Lux was 6, but his early influence with the arts along with encouragement from her mother carried on with her through childhood to this day.

Naturally shy, Lux’s mother kept her and her sister occupied with involvement in church choir, piano lessons, dance classes, volunteering, and figure skating throughout her youth to have positive and artistic influences around constantly. With the help of a middle school theatre teacher, Lux was able to break out of her shyness and audition for the school musical Aladdin. She was cast for the lead role of Princess Jasmin.

From the age of 7, Lux has trained in many dance genres including ballet (en pointe), jazz, hip hop, modern dance, lyrical, and salsa. She competed alongside her high school dance team members in nationwide competitions and dance workshops taught by choreographers of some of the days hottest performing artists. Her passion for dance carried on past high school as she choreographed hip hop dance sequences for international music videos and also performed at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas with the Persian pop group Black Cats.

At 13, Lux expressed her wish to start acting classes since her favorite genre of situation comedy always intrigued her. Her mother thought that instead she should take advantage of her height and exotic looks and pursue modeling. So the two struck a compromise: Lux would get acting classes if she gave modeling a shot. After going through a program with Barbizon Models, Lux was invited to compete at IMTA (International Modeling & Talent Association), and won awards in commercial modeling and dance. From then on, she did mostly runway shows and promotional modeling with models from all around the world!

Though there were a lot of memorable experiences in modeling and many opportunities, Lux took a break to focus on college. As with her modeling, her passion for working hard paid off. She graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona with honorable mentions such as the Dean’s List, President’s Honor List, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and two Bachelor’s of Science degrees in International Business and International Marketing Management, respectively.

During her modeling hiatus, Lux pursued her interest in motorcycles. Thanks to a friend, Lux got her first experience of riding as a passenger and was so impassioned after, she decided to learn how to ride on her own. After completing a CHP safety course she became an M1 licensed motorcycle rider and purchased her first bike, a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600. She credits her early riding years with helping her achieve her college degrees timely since she attended school full time while working full time, and travelled on the Inland Empire’s most congested freeways.

A few years into riding, Lux became involved in the motorcycle stuntriding scene, performing solo and tandem shows nationwide with a professional stunt team. She also managed a successful promotional group of models to support several industry companies. With her long blond hair, exotic looks, and sex appeal, Lux is not the typical stunt woman and got the opportunity to show off her stunting skills in G-Unit artist Genasis’ music video, “Jackie Chan”, that was seen on BET’s popular show 106 & Park.

Since getting back into the entertainment industry, Lux has been seen and heard worldwide. Nationwide, you may have seen her in commercials on Cartoon Networks Adult Swim, on an episode of the hit television show Excused that aired in February 2012, promotional modeling campaigns, multiple mainstream music videos including Frank Ocean’s “Pyramids” & the viral YouTube sensation “Call Me Maybe – dirty parody” with comedian/rapper Tim Delaghetto, and radio interviews. She won the coveted listener-voted title of 106.7FM KROQ Kevin & Bean Show’s Miss Double D-cember 2013, and that lead to many promotional opportunities representing the show including introducing Grammy-winning artist Lorde at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas concert. You can also find Lux featured on the covers of SHOW Magazine Issue #27 and Customs411 Magazine
