About Lucy Dawson
Lucy Dawson was born in Lincolnshire and became a disabled model and activist after contracting a rare brain disease called encephalitis in 2016. She has featured in campaigns with brands including Ann Summers, George at Asda, Spotify, Amazon, Simply Be, Playful Promises, Love Honey, PrettyLittleThing, Feel Unique, Curvy Kate, Dear Scantilly, Bravissimo, Bondara, Fabletics and Hunkemoller.
In 2020 she gained a large amount of traction through joining the DisabledAndSexy campaign, and in 2021 she went viral through amplifying the BabesWithMobilityAids hashtag. She has won numerous awards for her work, including an Active Change Award, Role Model Award and 30 Under 30 Rising Stars Award.
Since her recovery, she has become an activist for both Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis and models with disabilities. She has featured in campaigns with brands including Ann Summers, George at Asda, Spotify, Amazon, Simply Be, Playful Promises, Love Honey, PrettyLittleThing, Feel Unique, Curvy Kate, Dear Scantilly, Bravissimo, Bondara, Fabletics and Hunkemoller.
