Her side job was legal and helped cover her mortgage, but she hadn’t told her department, which was against policy. When officials found out, about her, (eventhough) she loved her law enforcement career, decided to resign. She also stepped down from Colorado’s Peace Officer Standards and Training board. My father was a LEO in Colorado and his pay absolutely sucked; I know the struggle all to well. It's sad that she had to go this route to keep her family intact. But, we have gained more justification that there is beauty still in this world too.
