About Liz Vassey
Liz Vassey is an American actress, writer, and director, best known for her role as Wendy Simms on the long-running crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Born on August 9, 1972, in Raleigh, North Carolina, she was raised in Tampa, Florida. Vassey began acting at age nine and appeared in over fifty stage productions before moving to New York at sixteen to join the cast of All My Children, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Emily Ann Sago.
Her television credits include recurring roles on ER, Maximum Bob, The Tick, Two and a Half Men, and Tru Calling. In addition to acting, Vassey is an accomplished writer and director. She co-wrote an episode of CSI and has sold multiple television pilots to networks such as NBC, Freeform, and Netflix. In 2019, she made her directorial debut with the documentary The Human Race, which explores the experiences of runners over the age of fifty .
