Lidia Érika Ávila Beltrán (born September 13, 1979, in Puebla de Zaragoza, Puebla, Mexico) is a Mexican singer and actress. She is best known as a member of the pop group La Onda Vaselina, which later became OV7, one of Mexico's most successful pop bands of the 1990s and early 2000s.
From an early age she excelled in sports, particularly Olympic gymnastics. In 1991, after a children's audition, she joined La Onda Vaselina, a group that achieved widespread success with hits such as "Un pie tras otro pie" and "Te quiero tanto".
In 2000, the group decided to end their professional relationship with creator and manager Julissa and adopted the name OV7, with the addition of Kalimba and the departure of Daniel. Three years later, after the success of albums such as OV7 DCOO, OV7 en directo-Rush and 7 latidos, the group announced their definitive separation.
This led Ávila to pursue a solo career, releasing her self-titled debut album in 2004, which marked a shift to regional Mexican music with the single "Para qué". Her subsequent albums Así como me ves (2005) and Todo tiene color (2007) continued in this genre. She also acted in television, including a role as "Monserrat" in Clap, el lugar de tus sueños (2003).
OV7 reunited in 2010 with the album Primera Fila under Sony Music and remained active until announcing their final separation in 2023. Ávila has continued her solo career while participating in the group's reunion tours.
