Throughout her rapid ascent in Hollywood, Lynch has been vocal about carving out authentic, complex representations for Black women on screen. Reflecting on her early ambitions and competitive drive, she once shared, "I am very competitive, and I have always wanted to stand out and be the best, but I have always been like that." She has frequently discussed her dedication to storytelling, noting, "At the end of the day, it's all about the story." Regarding her historic role in the James Bond universe, she emphasized the importance of breaking boundaries by stating, "I want young black and brown girls to see women with agency on screen and aspire to be something bigger than what they've been told by the world."
