About Karen Rojo
Karen Paulina Rojo Venegas is a convicted former Chilean politician.
From 2012 to 2020, she served as mayor of the Antofagasta commune. On 27 July 2020, she was suspended from her position as mayor as a result of a judicial investigation for tax fraud and incompatible negotiation. On 19 November 2020, she officially resigned from office. On 18 January 2021 she was sentenced to 5 years in prison, a fine, and lifelong disqualification from exercising political rights.
