About Juju Chang
Hyunju "Juju" Chang is an Emmy Award-winning television journalist and co-anchor of ABC News' Nightline. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1969 and was raised in Northern California, where she graduated from high school in Sunnyvale before earning a Bachelor of Arts with honors in political science and communications from Stanford University in 1987. Chang began her career at ABC News as an entry-level desk assistant that same year, later serving as a producer for World News Tonight, a correspondent and co-anchor of the overnight show World News Now, and news anchor for Good Morning America from 2009 to 2011βmaking history as the first Korean American in a prominent morning news role on a major U.S. network. Her reporting has earned multiple Emmys, along with Gracie, DuPont, Murrow, and Peabody awards, and she frequently contributes to 20/20 and other ABC programs. Married to WNET president and CEO Neal Shapiro, she is the mother of three sons, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a founding board member of the Korean American Community Foundation.
