In 2009, Storm made a comeback in some MILF themed productions. However the following year she decided to retire once again, in part due to not being able to do feature movies where she would be able to do acting parts as well. Joanna staged a brief comeback before retiring for good in 2010. She subsequently married, had three daughters and eventually got divorced once again.

Joanna left home at age 13, and was briefly married and divorced at the age of 15. At the age of 18 she began stripping and go-go dancing in Las Vegas, Nevada and in Texas before going back to San Diego to dance at the popular strip club Main Attraction.

In 1982, she met porn star Samantha Fox and expressed interest in becoming a Porn Star but before Fox could help her find work, a man introduced her to the business. She made her debut in All American Girls 1. She soon made a name for herself with fans and directors alike due to her looks, enthusiasm and above average acting skills.
