About Jean Afrique

Jean Afrique is a Danish former nude model and adult actress. Born Jeanette Dyrkjær in Copenhagen, Denmark, Jeanette was first noticed in 1983 when, under the stage name Jeanette Starion, she won the Million Pet of the Year Pageant organized by and subsequently won a million dollars in connection with the election. Dyrkjær later worked as a stripper and briefly joined the American porn industry as Jean Afrique. She was also the 1982 Miss Nude Holland.

In 1992, Dyrkjær married an African-American pornographic actor and adult model (born Erwin Ray Viser; 1960–2016) and largely retired from the US adult entertainment industry by late 1993, moving back to Denmark with her husband, but she continued to work sporadically with Victory in Europe, the two performing in live sex shows. The couple had two sons, born in 1991 and 1993, that the authorities chose to put into foster care. She died of a heart attack on July 29, 2011 in Koege, Denmark.
