About Irene Tarantelli
Irene Tarantelli (born August 4, 1971, in Florence, Italy) is an Italian journalist and television news presenter. She joined Mediaset in 1997, beginning her career as a sports correspondent based in Florence before moving to the Studio Aperto newsroom in 2001, where she continued reporting from the city.
In 2006, Tarantelli relocated to Rome, later transferring to Mediaset's main newsroom in Milan after being promoted to news anchor in 2010. She became a fully qualified professional journalist in 2003 and has also contributed to several Mediaset programs, including Bellavita, Lucignolo, Tutto in una notte, L'alieno, and Diario Elettorale. In 2010, she worked on the documentary series Mitici '80.
From May 2010 to September 2017, Tarantelli served as a senior editor and anchor for both editions of Studio Aperto. She also coordinated several Videonews productions, including Lucignolo 2.0, Notorius, and Maggioranza Assoluta. Since 2018, she has served as Head of Entertainment at News Mediaset.
