About Hwang Eun-bi
Hwang Eun-bi, born on June 3, 1998, in Cheongju, South Korea, grew up with her parents and an older brother, Hwang Jungwoo. Of South Korean descent, she attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul, graduating in 2017 alongside her GFriend bandmate Umji. Known professionally as SinB, meaning “mystery” in Korean, she adopted this stage name to differentiate herself from bandmate Eunha, with whom she shares the birth name Eun-bi and a childhood friendship. SinB began her career as a child model for kids’ clothing brands and was part of “Ulzzang Kids.” She trained under Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) for two years starting at age 12, then at LOEN Entertainment for a year before joining Source Music. She debuted as the main dancer, vocalist, and center of GFriend on January 15, 2015, with their EP Season of Glass and lead single “Glass Bead.” GFriend, also including Kim Se-jeong, Jung Ye-rin, Yuju, Eunha, and Kim Ye-won, released successful albums like Snowflake, LOL, The Awakening, Time for the Moon Night, Fever Season, and Rainbow, earning awards such as Gaon Chart Music Awards and Melon Music Awards. SinB contributed to tracks like “Confession” for the Cinderella with Four Knights OST (2016) and performed three solo singles for The Fairies in My Arms (“I’ll Be There,” “The Fairies in My Arms,” “Sha-wing’s Song”). In 2018, she joined the project group Station Young with Red Velvet’s Seulgi, (G)I-dle’s Soyeon, and Chungha, releasing “Wow Thing.” After Source Music was acquired by HYBE in 2019, GFriend disbanded in May 2021 when all members left the agency. SinB, Eunha, and Umji signed with BPM Entertainment, debuting as Viviz on February 9, 2022, with the EP Beam of Prism. GFriend reunited in September 2024 for their 10th anniversary, releasing Season of Memories and performing on music shows, with SinB continuing Viviz activities thereafter.
SinB’s sports background is tied to her dance training, which began in childhood at Krazy Dance Academy & MD Skool alongside Eunha. Her rigorous dance practice, evident in GFriend’s synchronized choreography, keeps her physically fit, with workout videos shared on Instagram by the group. She suffered a minor arm injury during a 2016 Inkigayo performance of “Navillera” but recovered quickly. Standing at 5’5” (167 cm) and weighing approximately 46 kg, SinB is noted for her slender, athletic build and striking resemblance to Girls’ Generation’s Jessica Jung, earning nicknames like “Princess Hwang,” “QueenB,” and “Little Jessica.” No details confirm specific measurements, breast size, surgeries, tattoos, or piercings. Fans admire her powerful dance moves, charismatic stage presence, and playful personality, with her often cited as the group’s “Meme Queen” for her humorous expressions. Her TikTok presence is through Viviz’s official account (@viviz_official), featuring dance and performance clips, while her Instagram (@bscenez) has over 1 million followers for music updates and personal posts. She has no significant solo YouTube presence.
No public information details SinB’s sexuality or relationships, though she has stated her ideal type is someone like G-Dragon; she is reportedly single. Her estimated net worth is $1-5 million, earned through music, endorsements (Pepsi, Hyundai Sonata, Evisu), and appearances like Style Me Season 2 (2022). No personal controversies are linked to her, though GFriend faced minor scrutiny over Produce 48 voting, unrelated to her directly. As of July 2025, SinB remains active with Viviz, contributes to choreography and music, and engages fans through performances, social media, and events like GFriend’s 10th-anniversary concerts.
As of July 2025, Hwang has amassed 1.6 million followers on Instagram.
