About Huma Abedin

Huma Mahmood Abedin (born July 28, 1976) is an American political staffer who was vice chair of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign for President of the United States. Prior to that, Abedin was deputy chief of staff to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2013.

Abedin was the traveling chief of staff and former assistant for Clinton during Clinton's campaign for the Democratic nomination in the 2008 presidential election. She was married to Anthony Weiner, a former U.S. Representative from New York, although she separated from him following several sexting incidents.
