About Hijiri Tanikawa

Hijiri Tanikawa (谷川聖) is a Japanese idol. She is a founding member of Pretty Chuu and a former member of AKB48 and its teams 8 and A.

She joined AKB48 as a member of Team 8 in 2014 and was later announced as a 7th Generation Member. She graduated on May 31, 2019.

She would be announced as the fourth founding member of Pretty Chuu on May 13, 2025. During the group's 1st anniversary live on June 30, 2026, it was announced that she would graduate from Pretty Chuu following their August 1, 2026 performance. She also revealed that this would be her last time as an idol, and would retire from the entertainment industry.
