Helena Wenk Hoengen ( Born February 11, 2005, in Joinville, Santa Catarina ) Is a brazilian volleyball player, playing as an outside hitter and standing out for her height of 1.98m. The 21-year-old athlete quickly established herself both nationally and in the call-ups to the Brazilian national team. Her journey in the sport began in a curious way due to her rapid physical growth, as she measured 1.85m at only nine years old. Before switching to volleyball, she practiced rhythmic gymnastics, giving it up because she couldn't perform the "cartwheel" movement, and briefly tried swimming. Volleyball entered her life at the Joinville Volleyball Association and, at age 15, her potential caught the attention of "Sesc RJ Flamengo", motivating her move to Rio de Janeiro to join the youth categories under the tutelage of a renowned coach, Bernardinho.

In the Rio de Janeiro professional team, Helena gradually gained space and had fundamental performances in the "Superliga", which attracted the attention of the international market and culminated in her transfer to the United States professional league, League One Volleyball. Simultaneously, she built a multi-championship career with the Brazilian youth national teams, notably winning the South American U-21 Championship in 2022, a competition in which she was elected the most valuable player and best outside hitter. In 2023, she received her first opportunities with the Brazilian senior national team, winning the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santiago, and today remains a regular in the call-ups for the Nations League and the Olympic preparation cycle.
