About Gul Bahari
Gul Bahari was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to very hardworking, traditional first generation parents. As education and extracurriculars were stressed at a very early age, Gul seemingly followed socio-cultural norms and excelled in academics, singing, and various forms of dance.
She attended Temple University with a major in International Business and Finance. While attending Temple University and being a part of a few collegiate dance teams, she pursued other interests as well. While in school, she taught for Temple University’s Independence Blue Cross recreational facility, being licensed in Aerobics, Yoga, Pilates, and Kickboxing. During this period she managed to open up her own dance/fitness practices in the tri state area, with around 150 dance students. It was during this period of her life, that she also pursued various charitable ventures with Greater Philadelphia Cares, Philabundance, and Calcutta House.
Due to her involvement in the community she was nominated and encouraged to participate in Miss Philadelphia and Miss Pennsylvania USA, both where she was finalists in. During her sophmore year, she was randomly asked to do a shoot for a collegiate fashion blog which soon led to her being asked to model, which further perpetuated collaborations with photographers. She was fortunate enough to model for boutiques, conferences, and jewelry lines as well. Some of her collaborations included events for David Tutera, QVC, Arsenic, Pantaloons, Lakhme, and Buddy from Cakeboss.
As of August 2023, Gul has 409,000 Instagram followers.
