She was born on December 14, 1969, in Mexico City, Mexico. She is a Mexican model and actress in film and television.
Gabriela came into contact with the entertainment industry at a very young age: at 4 years old, she auditioned for the lead role in the children's telenovela "Mundo de Juguete" and, although she made it to the finals, the role ultimately went to Graciela Mauri. Her parents decided to remove her from the industry due to her young age, but in the 1980s, at 13 years old, she was able to return by appearing in a television commercial.
She began a successful modeling career that took her to work in London, Paris, and the United States. At 16, she appeared in a music video by Pedro Fernández. Her acting debut came in 1985 in the film "Las Inocentes." That same year, she participated in the film "Un Sábado Más" in the role of Corina, sharing the screen with Pedro Fernández, Tatiana, and José Elías Moreno. In 1986, she participated in the film "La Mafia Tiembla." In 1988, she made the film "Vacaciones de Terror," where she once again shared credits with Pedro Fernández.
The following year, she made her first telenovela, "Simplemente María," produced by Valentín Pimstein. The following year (1990), at only 20 years old, she got her first opportunity as a lead actress, with Gonzalo Martínez Ortega, in the telenovela "La Fuerza del Amor," where she shared credits with other rising actors such as Alfredo Adame, Eduardo Palomo, Ari Telch, Karen Sentíes, and Katia del Río, among others.
In 1994, she created one of her most remembered characters by the public in the telenovela "Agujetas de Color de Rosa." There, she played the main villain, Vanessa, an intriguing and envious girl who made life impossible for the protagonists, played by Natalia Esperón and Flavio César. In 1996, she participated in an episode of the series "Mujer, Casos de la Vida Real." In the same year, she participated in the telenovela "Azul," produced by Yuri Breña. This would be her last telenovela at Televisa before moving to the emerging TV Azteca.
In 1997, she joined the cast of actors at TV Azteca and made her debut with the lead role in the children's telenovela "Tric-Trac." She continued participating in telenovelas such as "Perla," "Súbete a Mi Moto," and "Los Sánchez."
