About Gabby Barrett
Gabby Bernadette Barrett, born in Munhall, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh), is an American country music singer and songwriter. Raised in a large Catholic family as one of eight children, she began singing at a young age in gospel choirs, performed live shows by age 11, and attended Serra Catholic High School before switching to online schooling to pursue music. She gained national attention in 2018 by finishing third on the sixteenth season of American Idol. Her breakthrough debut single, "I Hope" (2019), became a major hit—the first top 10 debut on Hot Country Songs by a solo female artist in years—leading to a deal with Warner Music Nashville and her platinum-certified debut album Goldmine (2020). Known for hits like "The Good Ones," she has released a second album, Chapter & Verse (2024), and continues to build a successful career with over 3.7 billion career streams.
She is married to fellow American Idol alum Cade Foehner; the couple have three children.
