About Ester Cordet

Ester Cordet (born December 31, 1946 in Panama) was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the October 1974 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Richard Fegley. Cordet was also the cover model for the Ohio Players album, Honey (1975).

At the time of the photo shoot and the magazine's release she was living in San Diego and was employed as a flight attendant at Pacific Southwest Airlines.

She met her husband, writer Robert Ringer, at a PB Mansion party. At the time the issue was published, and during the shooting, Esther Cordet (real name Esther Sgobba) was married. Her husband, who was in the background of one of the photos, was described in the cut line as a "friend". She was also the mother of a four-year-old son.

very attractive woman and superb body from now long-lamented, at least by me, 'Golden Age' of centerfolds, when, if they were allowed to show at all, models had full muffins-don't recall when Playboy first broke the no- bush taboo...
and can understand why her sister flight attendants were so upset with her-she calls herself in interview a stewardess-trying to dispel the myth they're all bimbos...
and no doubt all from that era think of it as Golden Age of flying, no crazed passengers whould ever consider attacking one of them, Feds set what fares could be, which meant they tried to distinguish themselves by serving full meals on long flights...

seems you indeed are clueless about anything. The no bush was a taboo nationwide and in fact in Europe too shortly before that. It was Penthouse coming to USA in September 1969 that forced Playboy to show some, however it was July 1968 that some pubic hair was shown on the centerfold playmate. However August 1969 had full public hair shown,by a black woman, not the centerfold, in that issue. And then January 1971 issue had full pubic hair by centerfold shown, she became playmate of the year in 1972, and then January 1972 playmate showed full frontal with vagina seen, became playmate of the year 1973. And indeed Jean Jani was fired by the aviation company when it came out, she was July 1957 playmate. Janet Lupo was November 1975 playmate, later in the 70s she got fired as a flight attendant when all the other women ridiculed and insulted her for it, they got fired, not her,and the company went bankrupt as a result.
