About Emily Abbott

Emily is a Calgary, Alberta-based fitness instructor and former CrossFit athlete. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Windsor, where she also played basketball and won two national championships. She started her CrossFit journey in 2012 after gaining excess weight after going on a tour across Europe after college. She is a three-time CrossFit Games qualifier who finished in eighth position at the 2015 international championship.
The CrossFit Games issued its decision suspending her from CrossFit competitions from 2018 until 2022 due to performance enhancing drugs. She no longer competes in CrossFit.
