Elisabetta Canalis is an Italian actress and showgirl.

Her father, Cesare, is a radiologist in University of Sassari's clinic and her mother, Bruna, was a teacher.

She has a brother named Luigi, who is also a radiologist and was involved in a Switzerland debt scandal.

Canalis was educated in Sassari, where she attended the "classical" high school (Liceo Classico), and then moved to Milan to study foreign languages at Università degli Studi di Milano, though she never graduated because she started to work as a dancer for Silvio Berlusconi's TV channel Canale 5 at the age of 21.

Canalis had minor roles in the films Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo and Virgin Territory.

She was also a velina in the television show Striscia la notizia.

In 2007, she hosted the annual music festival, Festivalbar.

In 2009, she co-hosted the Italian version of Total Request Live. In 2010, she played a recurring character in season 3 of the TNT series Leverage.

In February 2011, she co-hosted the televised Italian song contest Sanremo Music Festival with Gianni Morandi and Belen Rodriguez.

Elisabetta had a baby girl in 2015, and after her pregnancy, she underwent breast augmentation surgery because her breasts had sagged.

As of February 2025, Elisabetta has amassed 3.7 million followers on her Instagram platform.
