About Dominique Darel
Born in Cannes, a distant relative of Édith Piaf, she moved to Rome in 1968 with her boyfriend Max Delys, a film and photo-novel actor. Together, they frequented the artistic circle of Mario Schifano, the Italian father of pop art. She made her debut with Luchino Visconti in Death in Venice in 1971, playing an English tourist. She posed for the Italian edition of Playmen.
She died in a car accident at age 28 in 1978.
