About Dolores del Monte
Dolores Del Monte (born March 15, 1932 in Spokane, Washington) was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the March 1954 issue. Later in her life Del Monte participated in Playboy events and devoted much of her time to fundraising for the 18th Chromosone Registry.

When Del Monte received a letter asking permission from Playboy to use her likeness she assumed Playboy was a standard pin-up magazine, and the images requested were from a shoot she recalled where she wore a leopard pattern bathing suit. Instead they used a nude picture taken by Bruno Bernard back in 1951. In 1954, Del Monte had retired from modelling and was also a mother.
