About Diana Dors
Diana Dors (born Diana Mary Fluck; 23 October 1931 – 4 May 1984) was an English actress, singer and sex-symbol.
Dors came to public notice as a blonde bombshell. Dors was promoted by her first husband, Dennis Hamilton, mostly in sex film-comedies and risqué modelling.
Towards the end of her life, Dors had meningitis and twice underwent surgery to remove cancerous tumours. She collapsed at her home near Windsor with acute stomach pains and died on 4 May 1984, aged 52, at the BMI Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor from a recurrence of ovarian cancer, first diagnosed two years before.

Britain's answer to Marilyn Monroe. I only remember her in her very later years. She was an agony aunt on TVAM in the 1980's.

actually the British MM is not true at all. It's just a thing that's been repeated so often ppl think its true. DD was established & loved in the UK years b4 MM was even a blip on the radar. Dors never tried or wanted to be like MM. It's sort of like how ppl think Bogart said "play it again Sam" or how ppl think Jayne Mansfield was decapitated. both are false but ppl will swear both are facts.
