A U.S. actress with just remarkable, sheeny, wavy scarlet tresses (ahem) Debra is of course best known and remembered for her 8-year role as Grace Adler on the NBC sitcom WILL AND GRACE.(This is in spite of a large number of other television roles, and a fair-sized number of film appearances, including a memorable turn as a newlywed who cheats on her new husband ON THEIR HONEYMOON (with Hank Azaria, of all people!) in ALONG CAME POLLY. Miss it not; Jennifer Aniston and Ben Stiller's roles are also pretty memorable.)
Anyway, following her undoubtedly-narrow graduation from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Ms. Messing had some short-lived turns on the Fox sitcom NED AND STACEY (1995-1997), which I actually remember hazily, if they were actually bakers who worked in a muffin shop? and the ABC science-fiction series PREY (1988). Of course, as mentioned, she rose to prominence once she took on the hat of interior designer Grace Adler in the NBC sitcom sleeper hit, WILL AND GRACE, from 1998 to 2006, earning both commercial and critical success throughout the series' run. (I'm not speaking to the reboot, here, which I've neither seen nor researched yet).
She also received acclaim for her work as Molly Kagan in the cable series THE STARTER WIFE (2007-2008) and more recently has played in the musical-drama (?!) series SWITCH (2012-13) and the comedy THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA (2014-2016), both on NBC.
