About Daria Zawialow
Daria Zawiałow is a Polish singer and composer. She was born in Koszalin, where she grew up. She has been taking part in music competitions since she was a child. In 2007, she won the Children's Competition of Dramatic Interpretation of Song in Wrocław. After graduating from middle school in 2008, she moved to Warsaw and began studying at a music high school. In 2009, she won the TV show "Szansa na sukces" ("A Chance for Success"). This enabled her performed at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Next she won the casting for the Maryla Rodowicz's backing vocalist. She performed with her for the next two years.
In 2011-2014 she took part in the Polish editions of the programs "Got Talent" and "X Factor". In 2012, as D.A.R.I.A., she published her first songs: the English-language "Half Way to Heaven" and the Polish-language "Dwa światy". From 2014 to 2016 she was successful in music competitions, winning three of them.
In May 2016, she married guitarist Tomasz Kaczmarek, and in June she performed again at the Opole festival with the song "Malinowy chruściak", for which she received two awards. The song stayed on the Polish Radio's Third Program charts for 11 weeks. It was the first single from her debut album "A kysz!", which was released on March 3, 2017. The album went platinum.
On March 8, 2019, she released her second album, "Helsinki," which became the best-selling album of the year in Poland. The album went triple platinum with over 90,000 copies sold. In 2020, Daria was involved in fundraising for medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the same year, she joined the supergroup Męskie Granie Orkiestra. On June 11, 2021, she released the album "Wojny i noce," which sold over 60,000 copies. This summer, she toured with Męskie Granie.
In 2022, she divorced her husband. In May 2023, the song "Fifi Hollywood" was released, the first single from the singer's fourth album. The album was released on October 20, 2023 and was titled "Dziewczyna pop". The album went triple platinum. She started 2024 with a promotional tour for her last album. Then she returned to Męskie Granie, with whom she went on tour. She has currently announced a break from performances, announcing only one concert for 2025, which will take place on September 7 in Warsaw.
Daria is a winner of eight Fryderyk Awards, the highest Polish music award. In August 2023, she became an ambassador for the prestigious YSL Beauty brand. Since April 2024, she has been in a relationship with Mateusz Dziekoński, a music video director.
