Daniela Ruah is an American-Portuguese actress who made her debut in Hollywood as Special Agent Kensi Blye in the CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles. Back in her homeland, however, she has already established herself as a successful TV and movie actress. Her credits include Blind Confession, Midnight Passion, the soap opera Jardins Proibidos, and Inspector Max, just to name a few. She also joined and won the the Portuguese version of Dancing with the Stars.

Ruah, who holds dual citizenship in the United States and Portugal, studied at the London Metropolitan University before enrolling at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

Ruah married David Olsen, the older brother and stunt double of Ruah's NCIS: Los Angeles co-star Eric Christian Olsen, in an interfaith ceremony on June 19, 2014. Olsen is Lutheran. They have a son, River Isaac Ruah Olsen (born December 30, 2013), and a daughter, Sierra Esther Ruah Olsen (born September 4, 2016).

A common missconception is that she has heterochromia but in fact she has a type of harmless birthmark on her tight eye that causes hyperpigmentation on the white parts of her eye making it appear darker.
