Claudia Mollinedo is a Mexican journalist, television presenter, actress and model, originally from Tabasco, in southeastern Mexico. She was born on September 26 (year not publicly confirmed, though she is believed to be in her 30s as of 2025).
Mollinedo has a multifaceted career spanning media and the arts. She studied fine arts, acting and modeling at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), specifically through the UNAM Theater platform. Throughout her career, she has worked as a television presenter, analyst and columnist. She was a collaborator with journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva and worked at Imagen Televisión.
In July 2025, Mollinedo became widely known on social media as "Lady Polanco" after a video went viral in which she complained about being asked to leave the Bagatelle restaurant in Polanco, Mexico City, after closing hours. The incident generated significant backlash on social media, with criticism of her attitude. As a consequence, Imagen Televisión confirmed her dismissal from the network, and the digital newspaper El Independiente also terminated her collaboration, where she had a weekly column titled "Desús."
Following the controversy, Mollinedo published a video apologizing to her followers and the restaurant staff, acknowledging that she had exceeded herself in her reaction and expressing regret for her behavior. She stated that the actions that made her viral did not represent who she truly is.
In addition to her journalism work, Mollinedo has a background in beauty pageants. Over a decade before the 2025 incident, she represented Mexico in the Miss Earth international beauty competition, a fact that resurfaced during the controversy. She maintains a social media presence with over 136,000 followers on Instagram and more than 72,000 on Facebook, where she shared content about her daily life and professional work before the incident.
