About Claire Wineland
Claire Wineland was an extraordinary activist, speaker, author, and social media creator who lived with cystic fibrosis (CF) her entire life. Diagnosed at birth, she turned her challenges into purpose by founding Claire’s Place Foundation at just 13 years old—a nonprofit that provides emotional and financial support to children with CF and their families.
Through her honest, humorous, and deeply inspiring YouTube videos, TED talks, and posts, Claire shared her journey openly—finding beauty in the hard moments, embracing gratitude, and teaching millions to live fully and proudly. She won awards like Glamour’s College Woman of the Year, Seventeen’s Power Teen, and more, touching hearts worldwide with her wisdom: “Death is inevitable. Living a life you are proud of is something you can control.”
Rest in peace, Claire—your light, courage, and foundation continue to change lives every day. You made the world brighter. 💜✨
