About Claire Tully

Claire is Birmingham, UK-based former glamour model best known as the Republic of Ireland’s first Page 3 girl for The Sun.She rose to prominence around 2008 after appearing in FHM’s High Street Honeys contest. She also appeared on the RTÉ reality show Fáilte Towers that same year.
Her early career combined high academic achievement with modelling. She scored the maximum 600 points in her Leaving Certificate, earned a first-class honours degree in biochemistry and immunology from Trinity College Dublin, and was accepted for PhD research in HIV-related immunology at Oxford before funding issues intervened.
She worked as a nail technician while studying, then moved into topless and glamour modelling for The Sun and related shoots. She has also spoken publicly about raising awareness of breast cancer, a cause connected to her family.
By 2011 she had largely stepped away from modelling, deleted much of her public online presence connected to that period, and indicated she was living a more private life. At one point she was linked to a move to Portugal with then-boyfriend Irish footballer Padraig Amond; later reports placed her in the UK.
More recently she has described herself as a psychiatry trainee, mother and feminist, with a focus on violence against women and girls as well as mental health.
