Christina Chong is a British actress known for her roles in various television shows and films. She’s appeared in popular series such as “Black Mirror” (2013) and “24: Live Another Day” (2014), as well as in movies such as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, while most recently, she secured the part of La’an Noonien-Singh in the TV series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” (2022-present).

Christina Chong was born on 18 September 1983 in Enfield, London, England, and comes from a diverse heritage, with a Chinese father and an English mother. Growing up alongside her five siblings in Broxbourne, her life took a turn after her parents’ separation, moving with her mother and siblings to Longridge, her mother’s hometown, where Chong and her siblings faced the unique experience of being the only mixed-race children in the local school. She discovered her passion for dance at an early age, and attended the Sutcliffe School of Dance in Longridge. At 14, her talent led her to secure a place at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where she honed her skills over five years and from which she graduated. After completing her training, she embarked on a promising musical theatre career, landing a role in Elton John’s “Aida”, performed in Berlin. Unfortunately, her path took an unexpected turn due to an injury that cut short her aspirations in musical theatre, prompting her to shift her focus to acting. Determined to succeed, she sought professional training at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. However, upon returning to London, Chong encountered challenges in finding acting opportunities, leading her to take on minor supporting roles and commercials to make ends meet. Furthermore, she taught acting lessons at schools, and invested in her father’s Chinese restaurant in Harpenden to support herself financially during her early acting days.

Christina Chong is very secretive about her personal life. She’s known to have dated Spanish model and actor Iggy Blanco, but other than that, there is no reliable info on her relationships. According to reports, she is currently single and focused on her career.
